We’ve been busy this past month, not only recovering from Halloween and stuffing turkeys, but also with new product enhancements…By the way, none of this would be possible without your support and feedback so thank you! We hope you like what you see!
Manage and Invite Users
You can now manage and invite users easily on Spiff. Spiff is even more powerful when your entire team joins the platform!
We’ve added a section where company admins can easily create teams, add team members and set team managers. As a result, team leads can see their team members’ statements and performance. Teams even get their own customizable logo! Teams are a critical part of incentive compensation systems. Keep your eyes peeled because we’re planning to add a lot more functionality here over time.
“Automated Clawbacks” sounds scary. But its a scary useful feature for finance teams. Clawbacks are common in sales. They often happen when a deal for which the commission has already been paid falls through. In this case, the finance team applies a clawback (negative commission) to the deal owner’s statement. When you have a team of 150+ sales reps closing 2,000 deals per month, manually managing clawbacks is very time-consuming and can lead to errors.
Spiff now allows you to automate clawbacks based on specific criteria so you never have to worry about them anymore and can avoid the mistakes.
You can now export a summary of commissions for all reps in a given period, like say December. Payroll is going to love you forever.
Improved Statement Export
We also rebuilt our standard Excel export. You can see a lot more of the math for each commission rule. And you can look at your commissions ordered by rule or by account.
Handle All Kinds of Payments
Spiff can automatically pull payments from payment processing systems and match them with deals. Companies that pay reps only after they receive payment love this feature. Sometimes though, certain types of payments (check, cash, wire Bitcoin, etc.) are not captured by companies’ payment processing systems. So we added the ability to create manual payment entries directly in Spiff for these payments.
Commission plans usually include multiple payout rules. So back in October, we started breaking down commission statements by payout rule to make them easier to read.
We now allow you to customize statements by selecting only the most relevant variables from your entire list of variables for each payout rule.
In addition to all these features, we also made a ton of small design improvements. We hope you enjoy the progress you see at Spiff.
