First, I wanted to thank all our users for leaving such great reviews on G2crowd andCapterra and helping us receive the G2crowd High Performer award! Also thank you for the standing ovation we received from the sales team at one of our customer’s headquarter. You guys are the best and we are so grateful for having you as customers. Now, on to the Product Update:
Here is a video of what we added if you don’t feel like reading my prose: https://video.drift.com/v/abN3fOxhero/
Like Elon, we believe rockets need to be tested before they can be sent into orbit so we created Test Flight to let you do just that with your commission logic. Once you are done writing rules, just click on the Test Flight button to get a report on how your logic is working and tips on how to fix it. Spiff users, please prepare for take-off. Sit back, relax and enjoy the flight!
Functions are like super-powers in Spiff (they allow users to handle some of the most complex logic use cases) but they are sometimes hard to remember. To help you, we introduced a Functions Library inside our plan designer where you can see a list of all the functions supported in Spiff and learn more about how to leverage them. Who cares about Netflix when you have access to a Spiff Functions Library!
Relationships allow you in just one click to visualize all the places where an object (rule, variable, CRM field, etc.) is being referenced inside your plan logic. This is extremely helpful in cases where you need to update an object definition and want to see everything that will be impacted as a result. Try that in a spreadsheet. Spiff: 1 – Spreadsheet: 0.
You may now access the full list of external fields synced by Spiff right from inside the plan designer. And the cherry on top, for each field, you can easily see their source (Salesforce, Netsuite, etc.), their type as well as a few sample values to make sure you are using the right field inside your formula. Spiff is all about saving time so you and your CRM admin can bond over more exciting things than CRM fields…
Quickview lets you look at a list of object definitions in bulk without having to fully open them. Very convenient when you need to compare multiple definitions while building a plan, all in one screen.
Contextual currency formatting
I’m sure you remember (since you’ve read all my Product Updates ;-)) but Spiff went global back in February by adding basic foreign currency support. Well this month, we went from the Toyota Corolla to the Bugatti of foreign currency! Whether you are making an adjustment, creating an overwrite, looking at a statement or at CRM data, Spiff always knows what currency type should be displayed based on context.
User-based preferred currency
Updating a user’s preferred currency is now just one click away. All you need to do is go to the Users page, pick a user and select the right currency from a list of currencies we automatically pull from your CRM. If you want to pay your reps in Ancient Roman Sestercius, we can handle it!
Finally as a step toward a complete mobile experience, we have made Spiff viewable on mobile devices. This is not a true mobile experience but we hope you enjoy this first step.
