Automated “Wizard-Level” Plan Assignment
Spiff users can now create rules in just a few clicks on any team to automate plan assignments. Each team can be paired with one or multiple plans such that when a rep gets added to a team, Spiff automatically assigns them to the paired plan(s), with the correct effective dates. Our users love this new feature because it feels like “Magic”. Well, get ready for some wizardry because we have more automation tricks coming down our wand…
Automated Quota Assignment
When you get something sweet (see previous section), why stop there? In addition to pairing plans with teams, users can also pair quota types with teams such that when a rep gets added to a team, they also get added to one or more quota types. One action (adding a rep to a team) can automatically trigger two other actions: automatically assign the rep to the correct plan(s) and the correct quota type(s). Spreadsheets are cool…saving time is not bad either. But wait, until you read the next section…⤵️
Salesforce Teams Automation
Cherry on top, we integrated with Salesforce user roles for companies who like to manage their teams inside Salesforce. Combined with Automated Plan/Quota Assignments, this feature not only allows Spiff to update team memberships in real-time based on Salesforce data, but it also assigns reps to the correct plan(s) and quota type(s) automatically. No need to even interact with Spiff, team, plan and quota assignments just happen….That’s what we call putting your commissions on Auto-Pilot!
Introducing Plan Filters
We’ve combined Scopes and Conditions and replaced them with a new object called “Filter” inside Plan Designer. Filters are very powerful because they allow you to grab real-time data from your CRM (or any supported system) and dynamically filter it based on certain criteria. Filters can then be used with rules to create some of the most complex commission plans. It does not take much to become a commission hero with Spiff:
Filter data + add a rule = Commission Genius! Stay tuned, more to come there…
Team / Plan Filters On Homepage
Users can now easily filter reps on the homepage by team or by plan. This new feature is particularly helpful to cut through the noise and focus on a specific subset of reps. Top-level metrics also update based on the filter selection. From coffee to cars or commissions, filters seem to be the best answer to life’s biggest problems!
